Microsoft 4000 Mouse Review
When you go to pick up a new wireless notebook mouse, you are going to be surprised at how many you can find at your local store. Unfortunately, not many of them are going to stick out and they all seem to be your typical, generic wireless notebook mouse. This may be the case most of the time, but sometimes there are companies like Microsoft that comes around and try to make innovations in the wireless notebook mouse field. With that being said, I give you the Microsoft Mobile Mouse 4000.
I saw this guy hanging up on one of the shelves and decided to give it a try. I am a mouse fiend and I needed a new one. I was honestly thinking about ordering one online, but there was something about this mouse. I just had to have it and give it a try. I am so glad I trusted my instincts and picked the mouse up.
When you take the mouse out of the package, you will notice something that you probably didn’t see while checking it out at the store – the mouse has rubber grips on the sides! Let me tell you, these things are comfortable and they will definitely keep your hand in place. The top of the mouse is extremely smooth and accommodates my hand perfectly. I have big hands and I’m always looking for a comfortable mouse – I found it.
There is a sleek black surface on top of the mouse that surrounds the mouse wheel. On that black surface, you will see the words: Microsoft. Also, you will find the battery indicator underneath it, but you will probably never get to see it. The battery life of this mouth is astounding, lasting up to 10 months.
Let me tell you, it did not take me long at all to become fascinated with the mouse wheel. More than likely, you are used to those mouse wheels that are like gears grinding and they make an annoying clicking noise. This mouse wheel is extremely smooth and doesn’t make an audible sound what-so-ever. Even though the mouse wheel is extremely smooth, it doesn’t move too fast. It’s hard to explain unless you have the mouse, but I highly doubt anyone would complain about the mouse wheel.
Also, you will find a programmable button on the left side of your mouse. This button, by default, is used to hit the back button on your browser, so you can browse much more efficiently. Also, the mouse takes advantage of blue track technology. Sure, you may think it’s going to be the same as your typical optical mouse, but it isn’t. This mouse can pick up on just about any surface imaginable. I even tried this thing out on a glass table and it worked.
So, if you are in the shop for a new mouse and you don’t want to break the bank, I would suggest picking up the Microsoft 4000 Wireless Mouse. I even use it for my desktop PC I love it so much.
