iPhone 5 Release Date – Late 2012 or Early 2013?
The iPhone 5 is something that people have been anticipating since the release of the iPhone 4. However, they were disappointed when the next iPhone to be released was the iPhone 4S. Apparently, they had forgotten about the time Apple released an iPhone 3GS, rather than an iPhone 4. In my opinion, this is just Apple’s way of taking a year off between the next generation releases. Also, it helps to build up some major hype.
There has been a ton of news on the interweb about the iPhone 5, but it is extremely hard to differentiate between what is fact and what is fiction. People are just simply drooling, hoping for a bit of iPhone 5 news that they can sink their teeth into. Even if it is just a rumor, they are more than happy to hear rumor news, rather than no news at all.
The iPhone 5 is going to be the next generation of the iPhone and it has already been rumored to actually exist. However, I don’t believe anyone outside of Apple is going to be able to get their hands on this phone no earlier than late 2012 and maybe even early 2013. Undoubtedly, this is going to be a very long wait for some people, because they are just aching to see what technological advances are going to be included with the iPhone 5. According to the rumors, the iPhone 5 is going to come packed with stunning new features and maybe even a new look.
As I said above, there is speculation that the iPhone 5 could already exist. Last year, in September, before the iPhone 4S was released, there was a lost prototype of a future iPhone. This was a next generation iPhone, but it is not sure whether it was a prototype of the iPhone 4S or the iPhone 5. Of course, there was a lot of hype around this news, because a very similar incident occurred when a prototype of the iPhone 4 was found and then everyone knew what was going to come packaged with the iPhone4. However, this device was never recovered ad no one even knows what it was.
Another thing people have been speculating about the iPhone 5 is that it will come with a new design. Some people have even said that it will sport a tear-shaped design, but that news quickly faded away. It resurfaced for a short period of time, but it certainly doesn’t seem plausible. Reportedly, Steve Jobs was not happy about the iPhone coming with a 4-inch display, because Androids come with 4-inch displays, but it looks like a larger display iPhone could be introduced with the iPhone 5.
As for the iPhone 5 release date, we are just going to have to wait and see. As of right now, there is no concrete news, but it’s looking like the iPhone 5 will not arrive until Fall 2012, possibly up to Spring 2013.
