Therefore, Microsoft wants to cover their tales, because they do not want people complaining that they lost functionality when they were given a “free” upgrade.

If you have been thinking about snagging a new PC, this is great news for you. First of all, you will be able to get a new PC and upgrade to Windows 8 once it is released for a low cost; providing the operating system opens to good reviews. However, if it flunks out, you will already be familiar with Windows 7 and will not have to upgrade. So, either way, it is a win-win situation.
